Name any other PUA technique and the underpinnings are just basic communications skills or "attraction" skills we all know as familiar. Watch one of those shows, which I just did for the first time 15 minutes ago (thanks for the link), and look at those guys who live in the house. They fairly obviously need help with lots of basic communications skills. More seriously I think there is genuine attraction.
